Really excited to share this, the cover art by Aaron Drown of Aaron Drown Design for Hellscapes, Volume II.  The eBook arrives on Monday, to coincide with a big blog tour that includes a contest featuring a Kindle Fire HD8 as a grand prize.  Going to be a lot of fun, I’m working up some good posts for many stops, doing interviews on others, and there will be several reviews.   Definitely looking to be a busy week.  But hope you all find this cover cool! I feel very strongly about this latest installment, as does my editor on this one, Scott Sandridge, and I’llRead More →

We are gearing up for the celebration of the print version this Saturday at 5pm at Joseph-Beth Booksellers in Lexington, KY, but those with eReaders can dive right into Rayden’s world today. As if the new short story collections, Chronicles of Ave, Volume 1, and Hellscapes, Volume 1, were not enough for a release week, I also had a new short story addition for the Annals of the Rising Dawn Collection!  Been quite busy this past week with these releases, but wanting to make up for some lost time this summer. . This particular story is a stand-alone, but readers familiar with the Rising Dawn Saga and the short story “Temples Rising” will discover some very interesting things within it!  It also has a very eerie relevance to world events happening today, especially with regard to myRead More →

Some quick good news first, and then the links to the second new release this week! 🙂 I got invited back to the Kentucky Book Fair in November. My new horror collection Hellscapes, Volume 1, is now available on Kindle and Kobo.  It will be available on Nook and iBookstore at some point today as well, but we wanted to get the live links out on release day.  The print edition will be available next week! And now for something completely different, the second announcement of the other new release this week! 🙂 This one is in the horror genre, which will come as no surprise to those who know how much I love Clive Barker, lol (and how much I love Dante’s Inferno, Milton’s Paradise Lost, etc)  Just know that Hellscapes is very different from my other work.  The stories are very visceral, intense horror in style and theme.  Very timely too, as the two stories book-ending this collection involve powerful political figures who foment wars in foreign lands (Blood Dreams and Lords of War) … for both there isRead More →

My newest short story, “All the Lands, Nowhere a Home”, marks the debut of Rayden Valkyrie.  She’s a hard-hitting gal with an honor code, and I am confident readers of fantasy and sword and sorcery are going to love her! She’s going to be doing a lot more in the future as well, so you might as well make your introduction now! The story is included in Thunder on the Battlefield: Sword, which along with a second volume, Thunder on the Battlefield: Sorcery, are available today on Kindle and Nook editions. It will be available in print very shortly, in about a week andRead More →
